Hacking Upgrade

I want to upgrade my 5.05 PS4so I can continue playing games I have without losing my game saves but be able to go online.

Can I just delete my downloads games and update or is there more i have to do to avoid being banned?

probably the best way is to format the hdd, then update. traces may still be there if you don't.

But then ill lose my saves which is the whole reason i dont want to format. Is there a way to backup the saves first? Does anyon know if theres "traces" for sure if i dont fully format?
