Hi, I haven't read up on psp cfw in awhile, but I've been looking forward to ddff. I just managed to find a dl for it and fit it into my memory stick, but it won't start.

Right now, I have 5.00 M33-4 on my system. Will updating to a newer cfw fix this? If so, what are my options, and how can I update?

Can I use the Network update on the system dash trey? or will that DL an official fw?

Sorry if this is clearly explained somewhere here already. I didn't find all the information I was looking for in the stickies, so I posted. Thanks in advance for responses

I am, and is 6.35 PRO-A the latest upgrade to what I have? Or is it an alternative cfw? Can I update directly to it?

It's probably patchable with ISO Tool so you wouldn't even need to update. Although i'd advise at least going to 5.00M33-6...where you are is kinda nowhere.

I did just update to M33-6 alittle while ago. Game still doesn't load.

I have ISO tool open now on my psp. Can I use this to patch the game? I'm looking at the options now.

What does patch prometheus mean?

if you have the iso the try updateing to gen-d then installing prome-4.

you can get to gen d-3 using this file http://www.mediafire.com/?xotnaxxhtme put 5.50 and the psp folder on the root of your card. itll ask if you want to merge the folders say yes. now run the new file on your psp and wait for it to finish installing you'll need at least 80% battery or plugged in.

now to update to prome4 download this http://www.mediafire.com/?w710r1bavdr7hnf put the file in the game folder on your memory stick then run it on your psp. you will need gen d but if you followed the directions above you wont have to worry bout that

promethius is a plugin for gen firmwares to make more games compatible

if any of that confuses you just say so and ill try to simplify it

thanks alot for the info, but I was actually able to get it to load up on M33-6 using ISOTOOL.

I watched some youtube videos of someone using isotool w/ the new kingdom hearts game. I did something similar and winged the rest, and it worked.

No CG intro movie before the title screen though. Does it show up somewhere else? or was it taken out of this rip?

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
