Homebrew Question Updating Atmosphere

Hey all,

When I update atmosphere, can I do it via USB using something like mtp-server-nx? Or is it necessary to eject the sdcard and copy it directly using my PC?

OK will do. I had tried the atmosphere updater by TotalJustice, but it was crashing after performing the update.

that one was discontinued ages ago.

you shouldn't need to re-install anything, just update sigpatches

Edit: Actually I have another question. What are Hekate sigpatches for? I have current atmosphere sigpatches, but I have no idea what Hekate needs them for.

Hekate is just a bootloader, the sigpatches are to help atmosphere run unsigned code (for some homebrew apps and backed up games),every time you update atmosphere you should update sigpatches too
