Homebrew Updating and Powersavers

Hi! Been around the homebrew scene for a few months, just had a quick question. Sorry if this had been answered already!

So, I dont have any other ways to get homebrew than to use OoThax. But I dont have a primary hax to install it so they only way I can install OoThax is by using a powersaver.
My question is it safe to update my O3DS 10.2.0-27U the latest firmware after I have OoThax installed (same thing with Ninjahax if I find it for cheap)? Or should I just keep it at the current fw just in case?

Update; there's no point staying on <10.2 unless you want themehax.

Unless you want 10.1 Kernel. Also we have a homebrew Badge adder to the home menu for 10.1 and below. So rly no point in updating at all unless you want eshop access

10.0.2? Isn't it more like 10.2.0? Or 10.0.0-27?

In any case, if you're on 10.2, you don't have any reason to not update (afaik), since it's the same, if you're talking only about the exploits.
If you're on 10.1 or less, I wouldn't update if I were you, since you have MenuHax 2.0, which is really convenient with Masher's Homebrew Launcher.

And, in any case, you need to reinstall OOThax everytime you update, because 10.1., 10.2, 10.3 (etc) payloads are different if I recall correctly.
