don't install cIOS using randomly found wads !
use a cIOS installer instead.
WAD will only brick your consoles because I feel you'll just mixed version between wii and vwii...

why don't you read a guide first to mod your console properly, learn how the Wii or WiiU and vWii work and don't mixed things together (like asking if WiiU mode mocha or CBHC is required to theme vWii mode).
You only seem to jumping from old threads to old threads and trying to duplicate user's random setup. Start by learning, and reading existing guides instead of trying to do things you don't understand and bumping multiple dead threads to ask identical questions.

if you want to learn how IOS are working :

if you want to learn how the wii is working:

not sure you'd want to learn or read, so if you want to jump directly to cIOS re-installing steps:

there are many guide to install cIOS if you don't have the tools
https://wii.guide/cios
https://sites.google.com/site/completesg/backup-launchers/installation
https://gbatemp.net/threads/modmii-for-windows-official-support-topic.207126/ (this one will generate a wad, but at least it won't be randomly found on dark places on the net or bad youtube tutorials)

Also, you said your syscheck is similar, but ALL syscheck are similar, that's how the wii is working. similar is not enough, you need to actually read the details, you probably don't have the same version of IOS/cIOS.
you probably have outdated setup (why not post your syscheck too so we can compare and suggest proper help steps?)
Modmii will generate a full update of your console's internal system, not just one IOS. I think it's the best option to get all the system updated at once.

Only very old versions of cIOS don't have USB 2.0, which cIOS do you have (post the syscheck)?

You are trying to compare Wii and vWii !
someone post a Wii syscheck, and you jump into his thread and bump it to tell your different console has different content.
it's not similar, it has different content and slots number.

don't use r53, and you'll have less problems.
if you want to change and update, then reinstall the exact same things but with r52 instead of r53.

It probably doesn't show USB 2.0 because they are vWii IOS and sysCheck just doesn't contain the patterns to recognize USB 2.0 in vWii cIOS, but rest assured it doesn't matter. USB 2.0 is still supported.
And as Cyan says, r52 is more reliable, but if you aren't having any issues, I wouldn't worry.
