I've got an issue on both screens where the bottom pixels are mirroring those just above.

nesdsissue.jpg

Running on 3ds XL, R4I Gold 1.57 firmware.

This problem does not occur on the old nesds circa 2007 but I've downloaded the latest because I'm interested in the wifi capabilities.

I've tried with/without the provided .ini file however I've never actually seen any other videos/screenshots of a 3ds xl running this emulator.
If anyone is, without this issue, I'd appreciate it if they could upload their .ini file. Unless of course there is another solution.
Otherwise, hopefully this will be fixed with the next update.
Thanks.

Same problem with my 3DS XL console with NesDS 1.3a. The only "solution" is to use 1:1 native resolution mode, I hope there's an update that fix this issue.

EDIT: After tinkering with my 3DS XL and nesds 1.3a, I found the solution in a silly way, just closing the damn screen in sleep mode and reopening the screen fixed this annoying mirroring issue. I hope huiminghao will fix this in the near future.

There is a option to load palette files (.pal) already ?

I know that Huiminghao talked about maybe including this function before, but I don't know how it's going..

Would be useful for playing game hacks, when custom palettes ares required to display the hacks properly

Sorry about the double post, but..

is Huiminghao still working on this? ...I tried to play Streemerz on NesDS, but it doesn't seems to work ( it loads, but crashes in the "Press Start" screen).
Hope it works someday.

I've got a problem: every time i load a fds rom i get no image on the top screen but it does the loading sound and then does an error sound im using a non sdhc r4 on a ds lite

p.s i can load nes roms fine just not fds

Well, 5 months later and you still haven't gotten an aswer bro, that sux
Now, here I am with the exact same question and problem.

FDS rom non-functionality on nesDS (ver. 1.3a).

Does anyone, for the love of all that is beautiful, know how to fix this?
I've got the FDS Bios everywhere just to cover all the bases.
Everything else runs fine and is setup properly.
(P.S. I am not a noob, so it's not something silly like "i need to unzip my games". Also, if i could have found an answer anywhere else in the world online, then i wouldn't be here groveling. :)

EDIT: Okay, let's try this. If someone can fix it, i'll pay you 10 USD via paypal...

Ah, gotta love the sounds of that Jiminy Cricket Orchestra. Cricket-cricket, cricket-cricket...haha

i wish i could help, but the FDS games work for me on 1.3a using my dstwo w/16gig. just played a 'lil vs excitebike.
i dont rmmbr needing any sort of bios for famicon disc games, although some games prompt/need to set disc B (game/extra/FDS).

just for testing, i dusted off my ol' non-sdhc R4 and grabbed a fresh copy of nesDS 1.3a from Filetrip. FDS games also work fine on my R4 (runnin Wood1.56).

since you say everything else is working, that makes me think the specific game(s) is/are the culprit.

You were right, the individual roms were somehow the culprit.
Kind of weird since they work fine on the A320, but i obtained a new set, and they all work fine now...

Well, I am man of my word.
Send me a private message and I will pay you the 10 usd via paypal that i promised my friend. :)

Much appreciated, but not necessary =D
awesome you were able to get it sorted out, i know how annoying it can be to have stuff not work (especially with homebrew) =)

Okay, well if you ever want your 10 clams, i'll be around.

And thanks again for your help, you're right, it can be annoying, especially when it's a new problem or an isolated incident...

I've got 26 systems emulated on my DSi now, one up thanks to you.
Homebrew kicks ass. :)

hello,

first, thanks to huiminghao for all the work he has done with this emulator.

Long time no play this emulator, at the end you can configure and save a custom configuration for each game? (scale, PAL / NTSC, etc..)

Thanks

I have this installed on my DSTWO. I am having a problem where all my roms will not show up in my game list. Is there a limit to how many roms can be in one dir?

Could be...try subdividing them in bunches. (i.e. folders: "1", "2", "3"...etc.
I always keep my roms in subfolders first by "NES/Famicom", "Series Sets", "FDS", then all the other, "single games" and they show up fine for me.
Just an idea.

I'm sorry if I am not the first to ask, but is rewinding in 1.3a? I have been using an old version, it has the "text buttons", but my DS tends to have touchscreen issues. Looking at screenshots, it appears to have a better menu, but I have found nothing on rewinding.
