Hi avenir, I understood most of your code, however... why did you (4th line) add a +1 while reading a filename/file from memory??

Thx
files[rom] is a 'char *' and the first data indicates the type of the filename.

line 226:

if(*files[rom]==1) { //directory
...
} else { //file

files[rom][1 ... n] is the filename. files[rom][0] is the type.

Ok I got it man, thanks again.

*files[rom][0] array returns a valid rom then?..

Like i said can you add a speed modifier?
What is a 'speed modifier'?

*files[rom] = files[rom][0] ..
*files[rom][0] is an invalid expression.

files is a (char **),
files[rom] is a (char *),
*files[rom] is a (char),
files[rom][0] is a (char), same as *files[rom].

I'm not sure why, but reading this made me chuckle.
Can't wait for your next release, huiminghao!
I've released that few hours ago. Check it on sf.net

like change the speed like in the scds2 make the game run slower or faster(not faster in ds2)

Does not work on my R4 card, I will keep an earlier version better, anyway thanks for the effort and work on nesds, congrats!

what r4 card do you have? is it a clone? what kernel is it running? have you tried the homebrew menu?

I am getting a black screen in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1 in stage 5 right before the boss. As I enter the door the music gets stuck on one note and the screen stays black. Not sure if it's my copy of the ROM or nesDS or something else. Kind of sucks that I can't finish this game off. Anyone got ideas how I might be able to troubleshoot and fix this?

I am using 0.54a. I can't really try a different version of nesDS though, since the savestate doesn't work after updating. =\

I uploaded the savestate file at the link below, it's right in front of the door where I encountered the problem. Just go in front of it and hit UP and the game should black screen... anyways, any help will be greatly appreciated. =)

I just played it though by using 'Cheat' and also fixed this bug with ppustat.
You can check the latest binary file on sf.net. nesDS_r92 or later.

NesDS it's still being a 0.x and with all those changes I guess is enough to be a 1.x, since you change the menu it was a 1.x. Don't you think so?

Hi Huiminghao,

I signed up for GBATemp just to say thank you for this emulator! It had a slow start with the EX edition, but somewhere in the 0.4x series or so got awesome and now it's even more awesome.

As for requests... hmm...

-The graphics are severely corrupted (as in: seem to be all replaced with letters and numbers, I suspect the game is pulling the wrong graphic tiles from the ROM) in most of Koei's games except some of earliest (Nobunaga's Ambition 1 and Romance of the Three Kingdoms 1 were the only ones I could find that worked.) The games seem to be technically emulated behind that, with the music playing fine for the ten seconds or so I can get into them (except for Bandit Kings of Ancient China, which doesn't start at all.) I'd love to be able to play Uncharted Waters on the go...

-Magic of Scheherazade/Arabian Dream Scheherazade reset when certain spells are used in a turn-based battle. This applies to enemies as well, making it pretty much unplayable for more than a few minutes.

-Door Door and Portopia Renzoku Satsujin Jiken (with and without translation patch) both play with no sound. They're the two pre-DQ1 Enix Famicom games, so there's probably a common fix for them.

Thank you again for all the great work you've done on it.

Edited to add bugs I remembered, and fix a few errors

ok so i downloaded this(thank got my r4i started working again). then i triend the super mario bros (E) rom and it ran super fast and there was no was to slow it down (expt using pure soft) please fix this. on the other had i really like the shiw all pixels feature but can you make it so that when you have grapic on sub screen it shows the extra top pixels on the top screen?( its very confusing in SMB)
reason for edit: opps i made mistake

Use the (U) ROM or change your speed settings to PAL.

Star Tropics 2, Zoda´s Revenge sram error does not work

Many Startropics 2 roms do not have the sram flag set in the rom header. You can use nesticle to fix it.

Excellent update as always, huiminghao!

Captain Skyhawk seems to freeze after a couple of seconds, and Mike Tyson's Punchout has garbled graphics. Though that one wasn't working before either, so I'm gonna try a new rom before I say its broken. >>
