Hacking update r4i-sdhc 3ds

I recently acquired a R4i SHDC for 3DS and it's not working... I downloaded the kernel last version but still give me the same error screen.
My 3DS is a 3DS 2.1.0-3E, I tried the r4i-sdhc 3ds 1.43b kernel and didn't work...and I'm probably doing something wrong.
Step-by-step, what i'm doing is: formatting the sd card, downloading the kernel, exporting in a common paste on my computer, moving the files to the sd and inserting into the 3DS.
Have you guys heard about someone else with the same firmware (2.1.0-3E) who manage to work the R4i card?

thanks for all the help, well, i purchased a new r4i sdhc 3ds from another trustworthy website: http://www.oz3ds.com/product.php?id_product=24 , and the new one works fine.

Hi,

I have a R4i sdhc card and it works fine on a 3ds with 2.1.0-3E, Yours has probably got the older firmware on the card which means you will need another DS to boot the card and then reflash it with the updated firmware and it will then work in your 3DS, The files you will need are

Im pretty sure you can flash the card with any type of DS it just depends on there firmware, I borrowed my mates daughters DSi and it flashed it no problem,

Just extract the contents of the rar to the root of the memory card, Bang it in another ds just go to load a game as normal and you will see the firmwareupdate.nds in the list select that and follow the onscreen prompts It then should work in your 3DS.

Tried it on mine just saying it will not work if you have an r4 -sdhc 3ds the files he has is for the r4 3ds

The attached files were originally downloaded from R4i SDHC website but they seemed to have disappeared since they put the NDSI 1.43 upgrade on, I can confirm this is the correct firmware update for a R4i 3DS SDHC card because i updated my card with these files. All cards labelled R4i 3DS are sdhc even though it doesnt say so, thats assuming we are talking about this card http://www.r4i-sdhc.com/aboute.asp#a0

Also when you pop your card in your 3ds does it show up as a spongebob game if it does then that also indicates its on the older firmware because after you update the card it will show up as a chess game.
