you must have a pretty old version of the loader. I can't remember how to get to the update screen on the older versions.

I have to go home now, but i will check this thread when i get home.

Remember to update and not reload. Reload is a format, you don't want that.

Run a search in this forum for "update help". Sorry to leave you hanging...

EDIT:

I just found this in the FAQ at the top of the board:

I want to update my G6 Loader, but it only shows a '2' on the 'Yes' button of the updater?
Format your G6 Lite as FAT16 (in Windows it's simply called FAT)

So do a format first, then try to run the update again. I think this will solve your problem.

Wow, that's old, the latest is 4.7D I think...

lol theres that computer illiteracy coming back, i dont really know how to format but ill search it in the forum.

ok so i reformated the device and it erased everything on the disk (whis i didnt know itd do) but i didnt care. I reloaded the system files on the cart and.... it still didnt read them

FREAKING A. I found what i was doin wrong. When i copied the files to the root system, i use "extract to the specified folder" to move them. well that made its own folder in my Cart. SO i just dragged it to the drive and it read the files just fine. hopefully now i can save. (im still a little teed that i erased all my previous games on there)
