Is update blocking still necessary at this point? Breath of the Wild came out and production of systems has stopped. It just doesn't seem like there would be any reason for Nintendo to release updates anymore. Is anyone else considering just not doing the update blocking?
Please keep update blocking. the DSi had an update a while after the 3ds came out (December 11, 2012 was the date of the dsi update, and the 3ds came out February 26, 2011 [according to google])

Two years after the dsi stopped production nintendo brought out an update for it so just because it's out of production is no indication that it won't get an update.
That's always a bit misleading though. There were still Nintendo DS games coming out after 2011, including Pokémon Black 2 in October 2012. And the library was kept on shelves since it was backwards compatible with the 3DS.
The only reasons that I know that you would want to turn DNS blocking off:
- Buying and downloading games legitimately from eShop
- Updating games directly from the console instead of downloading update packages using the PC.
Other than that I don't see any reason to not use the DNS blocking.

The same can be said of the Wii (which probably still gets the yearly Just Dance), yet it was last updated well before the WiiU - these aren't really things you can predict by looking at past trends
Or how about the fact nobody was banned for playing Monster Hunter X online a week before release, or that the WiiU uses usernames instead of friend codes?
Agreed, and if it wasn't clear, to "turn off custom dns" there's no need to edit the connection settings - just use NNUPatcher when needed!

You should find out from the mod dev how to uninstall it. Every mod is different on how you install/uninstall. -

I don't remember what else was there, like edizon and tesla menu are installed through atmosphere, is it not a problem, will I not damage the system? There were too many mods, I won’t be able to contact each one, nothing was said about deleting in the description.
