Hardware unsync xbox one controller from xbox one

whenever i try to sync my xbox one controller to my laptop it messes with my friends xbox one pls help

The second you pair to to another device the old pairing should be lost ... I frequently switch between my pc and XBone without issue

what button do you press

I turn it on and then press the sync button and sync it to whichever device i happen to use it at the time whether it be the xbox itself, PC or my phone

because when i try to sync to my laptop its not found and my friends xbox gets controlled

and are you just trying to connect via the bluetooth on your laptop or are you using an xbox dongle ?

wont work on the original controllers, as they don't actually use bluetooth you would need a xbox dongle
