Hacking Unclean roms with EZclient1.03

I recently downloaded 30 or so ROMS on mIRC and only about half were deemed 'clean' by my ezclient1.03 (with the newest patch). Why are these unclean, and where can I download clean roms if not mIRC? Should I download them from a different fserv?

Ds roms are not hacked that often but you likely just need to update the rom list (EZ4 Client checks roms against that list and with earlier localisations it said not clean):

You can however add a rom individually and give it a name before hitting the send button instead and GBA roms go by the header data which should not change when you alter the rom.
