I JUST TOLD YOU

1.Put in the DVD9 version
2.green error
3.Put in DVD5 version
4.Then it will start normally
5.Eject DVD5 version
6.Insert DVD9(dual layer) copy

enjoy
do i need to find the dvd5? can i split the image in half using nero?

Add me to the list getting the error as well...Funny thing is that it worked twice before it started getting the "Game Disc cannot be read" error...

Tried both trucha and non-trucha, 1.9b and 1.9g....WiiZARD rls...guess I shouldn't have turned off the Wii once it started loading...i guess it's just a waiting game now....

UPDATE:

Found out what my issue was...Didn't burn with imgburn and use the layer break...Reburned it a third time with layer break @ 2084960....LOADS EVERY TIME NOW!!!

I get the green screen too, but it happens at different points in the game...sometimes at loading screen. I burned on Verbatim 2x w/imgburn, no layerbreak (I had read that wiikey users do not need the layerbreak). So does setting the layerbreak fix this? I would try to play through the game first before anyone makes assumptions. I get the error during the missions on subspace emissary and sometimes during the classic mode. Most often if I just eject the disc then re-insert, it will start working for a little while. It absolutely won't work after the 3rd mission on emissary. Thanks guys.

i try burn to nero but i have a dre in mario opening o.O
i try in imgburn and is working like a charm

!!!!
i use Verbatim DVD+R DL
i have wiikey 1.9G
Wii NTSC
3.2U

I have the same problem too. The first time I started the game, it said, Unable to read disc in green font. This disc doesn't behave normally. It froze after i beat solo mode, and it had a lag after the mario opening with zelda and peach. After that, everything works fine, i am using verbatim DVD+R DL burned at 2.4x. It never have any problem on xbox game burning. Please explain why? is it because i didn't set the layer break?

the issue with this game is a combination of laser and media. it has nothing to do with whether or not you swap with a dvd5. in fact, swapping with a dvd5 wont get you anywhere. the problems experienced by users is the green screen disc read error. it happens occasionally and is easily solved by just ejecting the disc and putting it back in. the real problem comes in when you try to play online. if you ever get a green screen error while connected to the wi-fi network, you get disconnected and have to go through reconnecting and rejoining a room etc. etc. now with that aside...

i tried burning this game 3 times. twice with imgburn once with nero. every burn was at 2.4x.
my discs are verbatims, MADE IN INDIA

first burn, IMGBurn and layerbreak set to the cyclowiz one (whatever it is): game worked fine and had green screen errors.

second burn: IMGBurn and layerbreak auto, game worked fine and had green screen errors.

third burn: Nero. just decided to burn and see what would happen. game would not boot: gave me an error 001 or something (black background, white letters. i put in a previous burn and swapped with the Nero burn and that disc worked fine too, with green screen errors.

these are discs that i use for my 360, which i regret buying, and which i got a full refund for from Newegg. They are not the MADE IN SINGAPORE verbatims that are actually good discs. the MADE IN INDIA discs have idfficulty burning and i frequently get power calibration errors or random write errors. fortunately there were only 20 in the batch and i'm down to like 5 of them. thank goodness for terrific customer service from newegg too.

i bet if i were to clean my laser i would see some improvement. i'm using a DMS wii.

i'm too lazy/nervous to do that though so i'm probably just going to go to bestbuy today and buy a single verbatim disc, assuming it is MADE IN SINGAPORE. or taiwan i guess. anything but India.

i could also get memorex i suppose, but i just dont trust that company. didnt they just opt out of making media too? i dunno. maybe some of you guys can suggest a disc i can buy over at bestbuy if they dont have the non-india verbatim. i don't really want to buy more than a single disc, or at most a 3 disc pack. just wanna spend under 10 bux if possible. lemme know!

Kramer987 if you're lookin for Verbs go to your local OfficeMax. I use the Verbatims for my 360 games as well (only those from Singapore). I bought like 3 20 packs when they were on sale for 24.99 a couple months ago. Officemax price is $15 for 10 right now. Thats still really good considering bestbuy sells a 5-pack for $18.99. The Verb that I made the ssbb back-up was from Singapore...but I didn't set the layerbreak because I heard that was just for the cyclowiz. I was thinking of just getting a different brand or burning at a faster speed and setting the layer break. I'll post my results.

here's the link for the 10pack:

Just to update with my info for reference:

WiiZARD rls
imgburn @ 2.4x, layer break @ 2084960
NTSC Wii, Wiikey 1.9g
Memorex DVD+R DL

Works great every time now, no problems online...videos play as well in the data section (didn't before with the 2 bad burns...)

I have wiikey and i wonder if this problem have something to do with the drive speed?? sorry if my english is bad:P

EDIT: Changed the drive speed to 3x and now it WORKS.
biggrin.gif

EDIT2: Some problems still remain. In adventure the error appers sometimes between "the battles". But it's only to skip.
EDIT3: Tryed a friends brawl on my wii and that works perfect. No Errors at all. So it was a bad burn....:S
EDIT4: At last, Burned it my self again and now it works PERFECT. So it was just a bad burn.

So you also get sometimes "Disc Error" between fights? Aspecially at the movies?
I will reburn my Verbatim DVDR+DL on 2,4x instead of 4x (Damn AUTO setting)
