I am unable to boot atmosphere, the problem just randomly started happening after not playing the switch for a period of time.

Error Code: 2002-4364
Program: 010000000000003E
Firmware 13.1.0 (Atmosphere 1.2.6-master-173d5c2d3)

SD card (512GB Samsung Evo) is Fat32. I've updated to the latest Atmosphere (1.2.6) and fusee.bin. I've updated to the latest sig patches from ITotalJustice. I've deleted everything in /atmosphere/contents/

At this point I am feeling like the issue might be some corrupt save data. I have used NxNandManager to get full dumps of emuMMC, BOOT0, BOOT1. I have a spare SD Card.

At this point does anyone have any recommendation for next steps? I really am trying to avoid losing all of the users and save data. Is there some way to be able to back up this stuff without being able to boot into atmosphere/emunand?

I believe that error indicates corrupted save data.

Well, two years have passed and I've experienced exactly this same thing. Again. Found my own post while looking for a solution. I hate MicroSD cards.

If anyone else comes across this post with similar issues after trying everything else, this guide is what I used to rescue my saves after starting over.

New Year's Resolution: get better at taking frequent backups.
And buy Sandisk, they are more reliable.

I've got many cards from many brands (lots of photography and 3D printing). My experience, outside of the Switch, is that Samsung and Sandisk are indistinguishable in terms of reliability. For fun, I have swapped out the Samsung Evo for a Sandisk Extreme in the Switch this time around.

In all of my raspberry pi use, I've never had issues like this with a quality SD card. I just feel like on the Switch, the OS is not robust enough to deal with such a janky storage setup.
