Hardware Ultimately, how powerful is the Switch GPU?

I've never liked any of the Zelda games. Period.

Mario Odyssey is the first in a long time that has me interested in it again, if in part because I was already tired of nsmb and the 3d land/world games.

Literally the only thing coming to the switch I care about is no more heroes 3. I had bought a 3ds at launch expecting saints row because Nintendo hyped that up, and it never came. So I'm not even trying to buy a switch until that game is out, and I have a copy of it in hand.

I already have to juggle a damn external battery for my phone. All that's done is wear out the phone faster. By that extension, all having an extra battery for the switch will do is ensure its battery won't work within six months to a year. And that the whole thing will need to be replaced because it's designed in such a way that even if you could disassemble the system, you'll break more than half of it to get to the battery, much less replace it.

I'm sick or tech companies acting like removable batteries are some kind of cardinal sin in design.

None of their guides, or anywhere else, show how to reassemble a Moto x pure after removing the glue you have to burn off to even get the back open. So even at best, the phone won't stay together after replacing the battery myself.
Sounds like there's at least two games you care about on the Switch then. I'm sure more games will be revealed come E3.

Now I'm wondering, if you don't care about those games, why did you buy it in the first place? because to me it seems like you're not part of the demographic this console is targeted.

I didn't buy a switch yet. Does nobody have any reading comprehension?

I said, I'm waiting for a switch until no more heroes is out. But from what I am seeing, the console seems so awful as it is presently, it won't really be any good for anything else.

And considering that we already see Nintendo will kill off the 3ds line in favor of the switch, that means switch will be their only gaming device. And from what I'm seeing, it's a pretty awful attempt of trying to do both (poorly).

Actually all signs currently point to the original 2011 ver being ported, not the special edition, also none of the batman games have been confirmed.
From what I saw in the trailer, it looked plenty like the special edition. The denseness of foliage on the plain, god rays, etc. The only thing that didn't look like it was enhanced (to the level we see in the special edition on other platforms) were the textures.

The trailer was a mock up, not actual in game footage.

Unlike other chinese stuff out there, GPD Win doesn't atleast feel cheap in hand.
Hm, even a Windows tablet will do it's thing for emulators and is way cheaper than Switch or GPD Win.
But still, nothing will beat a non-gaming laptop, since it has it's own cooling and better parts in it.

I was considering the GPD Win (Also previously having the GPD XD) But this seems to be plagued with issues (It seems like its a lottery to get one that works well). Overheating, Driver based crashes, Throttling even with fan, Fan not working sometimes, Keyboard ribbon melting etc)

This works as a reply for discostew too :P
But what irks me the most is people are automatically assume the port is going to be botched, worse than the console versions, the GPU is super weak (what did they expect, a 1080 Titan?) I digress though,
it is what it is. Why can't people just be grateful? *sigh*

Why? Mostly because a lot of these devs half ass their ports all around. Whether it's console to PC or vice versa... The skepticism is well warranted.

.. And yet people don't look at it this way. They just see spec vs spec. Rather than console vs console. Spec wise? Sure.. It's not as powerful for

But where does one draw the line? At least it's not being ported to the Wii U, we all know how crappy most of those ports were.

When we can feel comfortable throwing out money at the devs...
Basically this. Sadly, that's the reality. People who mostly use nintendo systems don't support third party games at all and all the upcoming ports coming for switch are mostly experiments to see how much people are interested on them. And you know, it wont end well.

By how it performs the switch looks like a 7 Gen home console in undocked mode that can run those game in 1080 in docked mode, anyway I look it like a successor of the 3ds with a fancy hmdi out, is not comparable to a home console of 8 gen
