The same thing happens with other recent backups like MadWorld, The Conduit etc. So it's not related to WSR. I've just spoken with the guy who installed the modchip and he says that the firmware of the D2pro might need updating. I'll go there tomorrow and hopefully sort this out...

I've tried both the offline and the online version.

When i try the online version I get stuck on step 6. It says:
"Getting ios15 revision 266...
Load IOS from sd card"
Am I supposed to wait for like 15 minutes or something?

And when I try the offline version I get stuck on step 9, cause IOS15 isn't there, only IOS36...

No it's waiting for you to select something there. If you're doing it online you're supposed to scroll that to the right and select "download from NUS". If you were doing offline, you would have the wad's needed on your SD card beforehand and then just select Load IOS from sd card.

If somebody could help me please?

I already had homebrew channel installed on 3.1E and removed bootmii (dunno why), updated to 4.1E and all still worked. Now I installed bootmii again as in it would be first thing when I start up my wii. Then I navigated to the back-up thing with power and reset buttons (don't got a gamecube controller) but it doesn't do anything when I press the reset button to make a back-up. I thought I was ok so I went on with this guide and got to the point where I have to "Downgrade system IOS files using network install mode" When I run that app it just goes to the black screen with the safety and health warning where you have to press A to get the screen with all the wii channels.

I have wi-fi enabled on my wii btw

All I want to do is play back-ups on my wii.

Thanks in advanced

1. Run IOS-Downgrader
2. Run cIOS-Downgrader and install 3.2

3. Run Anytitle Deleter and delete any IOS above and including IOS38 (50 53 55 60 61) I'll figure this out
3. Run AnyRegionChanger and install 3.2 with your correct region settings 49: Usa
4. Format SD card I then would Proceed to step one to install 4.0, Correct?
If that still doesnt work try using the "Format System Memory" in Wii Settings (be sure to backup save games first)

Sorry for the long delay...Spine surgery does that to you. My Wii was a 4.0 wii that freezes after the heath/safty warning.
I'm running Any title deleter, and i have deleted IOS38, 50, 51, 53, 55, and 60. Since 51 wasn't mentioned, I hope i didn't screw anything up. But when i come to 61, it says the Homebrew channel wont work if i delete it. without the Homebrew channel, how am i supposed to Run Any region changer? could i use preloader or bootmii? but i havent been able to run a boot.dol file on them.

Ok so I was at the consoletech guy's shop today. We tried various things, including updating the D2pro's firmware and even swapping it with a Drivekey. Still I get the Error #002.

A friend of mine BTW, has also a D2pro modchipped wii and yesterday I gave a copy of WSR for him to test it out. He said the game didn't run until after updating his Wii via Nintendo to 4.1E. That's right, he updated through Nintendo and has no problems with older and/or newer backups! He doesn't have HBC and he doesn't know a thing about softmodding. He doesn't care about VC/Wiiware so he has no custom cIOS no nothing. His wii is pretty much unmodified except the D2pro.

I'm totally confused now. His modchip should've been rendered useless says the console tech. But I saw with my own eyes that he's able to run any backup fine.

The last thing I have in mind is updating my Wii (which was updated through this guide with every other thing including trucha bug restorers cIOS etc.) via Nintendo since last day when I went to the settings menu to test the internet connection "an update is available" or something like that came up to the screen even though I'm at 4.1E, and I canceled it.

So I'm gonna try it this evening. And IF ALL ELSE FAILS MISERABLY I'm considering grabbing my friend's unmodified Wii, installing Bootmii to it, backing up his NAND and copying it to myself...

I followed the whole tutorial, and ended up trying both NeoGamma R7 and R6, neither work. With R7 I get DVD Read Error 1101, and with R6 I get DVD Read Error 972, anyone have an idea what that is?

I'm at the upgrade to 4.1 part and i get a error when it gets to installing the system menu 4.1U

it gives me error ret = -1036 when installing title

what does that mean? I tried twice to install and got it

Here's maybe a stupid question, but, anyway:

In the tutorial says "Install BootMii" but al I see on the SD Card files is "HackMii"......is this what it's referring to? Or do I have too look somewhere else?

Thanks.

The hackmii installer leads to an installer that can install the HBC, dvdx, and bootmii.

Thanks for the help!!!

Now, I have a problem, every time I run BootMii the control looses conectivity......why is that?

BootMii doesn't support WiiMote. Use the hardware buttons on the front of your Wii or get a GC controller.

Oh, ok, Thanks!!!

When I lunched "Firmware Updater 4.1" it gives ERROR! (ret= -1036) when installing "System menu 4.1U.

Any ideas?

I believe the 4.1 updater was not meant to update from anything other than 4.0. So you can either run Waninkoko's 4.0 updater first and then run the 4.1 updater, or you can at least just install IOS60 first and then do the 4.1 updater. You can do so by doing the next step in the guide with dop-IOS installing the most recent IOS60 with the sig hash check as long as your cIOS successfully installed.

I'm curious, when using USB Loader config (or any other loader), sometimes it picks up my USB drive (plugged in the one closest to the edge) and other times it doesn't.

It will pick up my USB drive with a USB Y-cable (USB in each port) all the time, is there a reason why it doesn't with one USB connected?

I'm assuming it has something to do with the time I put it in or requires more power. But sometimes it picks up with one USB connected and not using a USB Y-cable.

**UPDATE: You can power up the USB drive with the Y-cable and take the USB out from the second USB on the Wii while you're in a USB Loader and it will still run. It seems as if it needs a power boost and then can be taken out.
