well compatibility still seems low, arkanoid plus won't load, just black screens trying like every ios version, but worked in triiforce, i really hope hermes gets it working abit better.

edit: yeah no way that games gonna work shucks its one of my favs

but all my other games work so far, plus return to wii menu works on vc games

so guess i'll stick with uloader for now

edit 2:Scuba maybe your drives slow? were you using port1 or port0? cause i did 15 at a time and it only took about 5 mins each time to do 15. Which isnt long at all

Using Port0, and my drive isnt typically slow. It may of been because i had the wads on the same drive as i was installing them, but that doesnt explain why i had 3-4 times the install time per game that you had. I had my wii turned on non-stop for 2.5 days installing ~300 Wads.

I installed arkanoid plus, i didnt get any errors installing it but its not showing up in my list

So are other people able to add games to a fat drive?

edit: Sweet ntsc games run on my pal wii fine, through uloader. No more 50hz crap for me

also accessing the operations guide seems to crash games

edit 2: I'm getting code dumps left right and center, I have no idea how you got through 300 wads with no errors, scuba. What cios's are you using?

well might have to redump my nand and stuff, cause i redid some of my wads and they work now, so maybe showmiiwads screwed up when packing some of em, cause now arkanoid is working without a hitch, but now tried playing some excitebike (wiiware not the vc) and as soon as i select a stage it says loading indefinitely, but not frozen, i can hit home-wii menu but it just stays at loading and doesnt load the track. I assume its my wad, so im gonna repack it.

What are the current GAMING benefits to install v5 for uLoader? Is any better compatibility?
Also,is it capable to run games as CoD3,Splinter Cell DA,Sam and MAX?

uLoader doesnt use 249 i beleive, but i have v17 installed

@panmusic: People here might not have those games, hence they wont know the answer. I don't think anyone was trying to be rude

@Scuba: Hmm, I wonder why mine is so picky.

I just checked elotrolado and it looks like Hermes has just released 4.9. Sadly I can't confirm this because I am away on business and I won't get back to my wii until Sunday

Can you guys do an update check and see if it is available? If it is, how does it perform?

Cheers

Nice tip, downloading now

edit: While installing wads I havn't had 4.9 freeze on me or produce a code dump.

I tested a mix of wiiware/vc wads, from various console and a mix of ntsc/pal. They all work for me with 223, none of them work with 222, I have no idea why but at least they are working.

which ios did you select when installing 223?also where the heck can i even get 4.9 cant find it anywhere.

223 gives me a code dump trying to install so i didnt bother.

4.9 can be downloaded by hitting the home button in uloader, and select update, but the app must be on an SD card

I selected 37 when I installed 223. I used the cios 222 installer that came with 4.8.

I am really loving the fact that I can play ntsc as well as pal games. The zelda games were intolerable on pal since they are locked to 50 hz.

Guys,HOW is it possible to play VC and Wiiware games from uLoader?
I downloaded 4.9,I have already installed 222/2223 v5 and have a wbfs HDD with Wii Isos.
What am I do to run WADS?Or even better,is it possible uLoader to read my SD and run my WADS from there?

Here's the uloader wiki:
http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=e...en%26safe%3Doff

The short version is, let's say you have the wad for mega man 9.
If you have a FAT32 partition on your hard drive, create a folder called "nand" on the root, then inside it create a folder called "install". Put the wad in that folder then start up uloader and it will automatically install. You will have to click the icon that says "fat" once uloader has loaded, it's up the top right. If you want to install more wads put them in the install folder as well. Try using different cios and turn skip boot on and off if you are having problems running the games.

If you are using an sd card everything above is the same except you create the folder "nand" in the root of your sd card, then create the folder "install" inside that one etc...

4.9A is out, that deserves a bump

My previous problem with cios222 not working is fixed and everything I tested runs fine under the default settings.

Excellent - thanks for the update Merve! I only got to mess around with 4.9 briefly (I'm back on another business trip), but I am glad that there is a new update that fixes some of the problems you outlined earlier.

Ok, seeing that 4.9a is approaching final release I am tempted to try it out for the nand emulation.

Previously, v4 uses

38+60 for ios 202
38 for 222
38+37 for 223

So how does 5.0 work? Does it reinstall 202,222,223 using 37,38,57 & 60? Any tutorial on which ones to use?
