Gaming udating when playing the original

so.. i bought monster hunter tri. i downloaded the game played a little and decided to buy it, plus, it come with a new controler
i put it on my wii and it sais i need to do an update and has the following text:

"if your wii console has unauthorized tecnical modifications, this upgrade could cause inoperability of your console"

and im starting to think its not a good idea but i really wanna play it

any words of wisdom before i brick my wii ?

I know absolutely nothing about the game, the update or the controller you're talking about but I did a quick Internet search and found the following thread on Yahoo! Answers;

for the record if some one has this doubt too
i loaded the original with neogamma so it didnt give me any warnings
i've been playing online for a few hours and it doesnt seem to have any

so just load it with neogamma or try anotrhe backup loader
