Ubisoft unveils Uplay PC

UPlay sucks ever since I had to re-install Splinter Cell Conviction; not only did Ubisoft not give me a new serial key, there was no record of my purchase. So, as a result, I was forced to rely on *ahem* other methods to get the game working.

Ubisoft, considered one of the worst companies pumping out games today, due to their draconian DRM, has decided to take a cue from Steam and Origin. They will be revamping their own online store, labeling it Uplay PC.

Fixed.

I can see this failing in months. But hey, I can enjoy a huge ton of PONYZ from an online service!

They do come out with some decent - good games sometimes but I just don't see this service working.

Everyone said the same thing on Origin but as long as Ubisoft pumps out "Uplay exclusives" for the PC, don't count on it.

I mean Assassin's Creed III is coming up. And, um, name another Ubisoft PC game coming up please? Splinter Cell Blacklist?

Splinter Cell Blacklist doesn't even have Michael Ironside as Sam Fisher, so, it's a no-go for me. I stopped playing Ubisoft games released past Conviction.

Acr had no DRM issue and infact desmon memories did not work with the crack. The solution was to install clean with a minor patch. Ubisoft I can consider to be the best PC game maker. And then we have watch dogs

Maybe they can replace Ironside with Bruce Campbell. And make Sam Fisher a couple years older. And change his name to Sam Axe.

Unfortunately I can't think of a single example to disprove your argument.

Some sources say it's Michael Ironside, others stay it some other dude. The problem is, he made Sam Fisher, Sam Fisher. It would be just as bad as replacing Charles Martinet with Nicholas Cage as Mario.

Asscreed Altair's chronicles
Lost Magic
Bomberman

That's all I can come up with off the top of my head on the DS. That is an incredibly paltry sum compared to the 150 or so games they have released on the DS.

Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes. This was only published by Ubi, not developed by them. Kinda like how Microsoft published the original Mass Effect, but they weren't involved with its developement.
Asscreed Altair's chronicles. Mediocre, but better than most of the games they've developed for the system. I guess you win points for this one, though.
Lost Magic. This was only localised by Ubisoft, not developed by them.
Bomberman. Same case as Might and Magic; they only published it and put no effort into developing the game itself.

That's all I can come up with off the top of my head on the DS. That is an incredibly paltry sum compared to the 150 or so games they have released on the DS.

I don't think they should be credited for games when they haven't played a part in its developement.
