Far Cry 3 was fun... to an extent.

It followed typical open world game syndrome to me. You start, conquer a bit of a learning curve (just learning what you need to survive, where you need to go, stuff like that), start doing shit, but eventually you get the best armor, best weapons, and best skills and everything is a cake walk. The story for Far Cry 3 was pretty standout, but eventually that lost steam too. It was a good game, a fun game, a gorgeous game, but eventually it was boring.

Also the skill tree was a joke, eventually you get so much experience that you spec in everything. There's no specialization in skills like Deus Ex.

Still, I'd welcome a Far Cry 4. Woohoo.

I never expected that. Who would have thought that next-gen would bring such innovations and new ips...

Seriously though, Farcry 3 was one of the better games of the past generation. Although it doesn't say much, the whole generation was mediocre with few exceptions.

It is not a classic, it had quite a few flaws, but it was a major improvement from FC2. And given that modern FPSs suck in order to accomondate console ports (yeah i belong to the PC Master race), FC3 was pretty much all we could hope to get out of the generation.

What i would like to see in FC4 is better controls, more "real" guns with more "punch", smarter AI and possibly more and better group vs group fights.

I want everything listed but the smarter enemy AI. Finished the main story/quest on normal and they were hard as hell. Wished I would of played on easy. FC3 was one of the harder games this generation even on easy, along with the first 2 released 7th gen batman games. I played each of them on normal too and regretted it, but still stuck with it to the end. Do I feel satisfied completing the games on normal, I don't. I feel like the games were a frustrating experience. Furthermore, different friend combos and I never did beat the final check point of the last level of the multiplayer story on normal or above. FC3 (and the batman games too) feels like a game where the longer you retry a part of the game, the more difficult it becomes. If they put a smarter enemy AI in FC4, ubisoft will be missing a purchase from me.

really? I was playing warrior(hard) and it still feel easy. it's not like i have to pull an insane stealth move just to clear missions.

Yes. I have ADD so it makes stealth games a feel harder for me. Plus I'm not very good at FPS to begin with.
