ok,

1- I recently get random freezes in games. I used to get that while I accidentally touched my memory card inside my dstt, but it got worse. I tried formatting my card with panasonic formatter v2 in FAT, no luck yet.

2- sometimes when previous problem happens, I get renamed files, a la, my Broken Sword - Director's cut.nds turned into BROKENS~1.NDS.

and my memory is a Kingston 1GB made in Japan and I think my DSTT is genuine since it is one of the first ones.

Follow the directions in the FAQ concerning what to do if your DSTT stops working properly.

If that doesn't work, you may have problems with the microSD holder (maybe problems between the contacts of the microSD card and the DSTT). Maybe time to invest in a new flash cart. There are better flash carts for the money than the DSTT.

which problem you are referring to? I think its latest or something near it.

The second. But it never happened again.

I was about to say the exact same thing.

Hmm.. How long have you been using your SD card? It might be time to get a new one if formatting doesn't help..
