Hacking TWL icons not showing up in home menu

I have a9lh with aureinand and fw 10.6 EUR.
I can launch twl (dsi) games from fbi, but I can't see them on home menu.
Some of them are Eur, some Usa, from apache thunder's pack in that iso site.
Can I solve this problem?

it's a very common problem.
the USA will NEVER show up because even with the twl patch they aren't region free
the EUR because of... reason?...

Do you have sudoku eur installed? I can tell you that it's eur because the menu is in italian

but using bigbluemenu it is really easy to find sudoku.

For now I'll try editing fbi in order to boot directly into sudoku.

it isn't that easy. (in bigbluemenu i see "EA SUDOKU" so it's easy to find)

You'll need to repack the DSiWare in question to be region free. (doing this requires having patched TWL_FIRM. Since you have A9L, you can install modified prepatched TWL_FIRM direct to sysnand)

Open the NDS files in question with a hex editor. You should see code at 0x1B0 offset. This is the region code and is 4 bytes long. Replace it with "FF FF FF FF" to make it region free.

I have problems compiling fbi so I think that I need to ask someone to do this, or solve this problem in another way.

So I need to extract the cia? How can I do this? And after editing the nds how can I make the new cia? I already have patched twl firm

Is the rom starting at 0x3900 in the cia?

The resulting file will have a filename looking like this: Example.0000.00000000

Rename it to something like this: Example.nds

(Replace "Example" with the name of your game).

Then make the needed modifications with a hexeditor.

Then repack it using make_cia:

make_cia --srl Example.nds

It will output a CIA with the same name as the game you used as the input parameter.

After patching the nds file + repacking with makecia I'll get "This cia is invalid" with BBM, BRM, DevMenu and FBI.
Installed twl_firmv2 (n3DS) on my EUR 3ds before.
How to fix that?
