I have a Micro SD card (1 Gig) with an SD adapter, will that work instead of an SD card?

It should! When you use the adapter it become an sd so give it a shot! It won't harm anything!
just make sure you format it w/ the Fat file system.... 16 or 32...

Should do... I've used a 2gig microSD card in an adapter in mine.

The only thing that would be a problem is if it's SDHC - but iirc that kicks in at 4gig for microsd.

it will definitely work. the one i use is also a micro sd adapted to sd.
