Hacking TWEWY Import fail

Trying now with desmume-0.9.8

so when using the emulator it still acts like there isnt a save in it and does the whole initializing phase then only shows new game. But again im able to take the save i dumped from the cart and reupload it into the cart and play it. (well cant now cause i lost my cart in the move.)

I tested the uniquegeeks converter and was able to import a DSTwo save to Desmume, but I can't get desmume to recognize that save. The converted file isn't recognized, and Desmume's DUC import function doesn't work either, both times the game tries to write a new save on boot.

So do you think its something with the save. but wait it cant be the save because as i said i was able to take the .duc and convert it to a .sav and inject it into the cart via the action replay

all i remember about the AR was it was the DsI version. and it had rainbow text when plugged in to an actual dsi

So another question. Does anyone happen to know if there is a Action replay dsi .nds download? Or does anyone have TWEWY and a AR DSI and wants to see if they can upload my save to their cart? i have a theroy i wanna try but i need a copy of the AR dsi.nds file

The AR needs it's own hardware to function, the software will not work on a flash cart or anything else. If you want to apply cheats to a retail game using a flash cart, it needs cart swapping so it only works on a DS/Lite, not on the DSi or 3DS.

Ah ok. Cause my theory is, Inject the save FROM the AR cart TO the AK. iono if it would work cause i no longer have a ARdsi

Wouldn't, the Ak2i has no real save chip, it redirects saves to the MicroSD, which the AR can't handle.

damn. Im running out of ideas to make the save import. Ive tried all save converters i can find. iono what else to do. i really dont want to start my 500+ hour save all over again

You could borrow a DS/Lite and use some homebrew save backup tool that'll dump a cart-friendly version of the save, or buy an NDS Backup Adapter+ or R4 Backup Adapter or whatever, those devices you can use to backup a DS save right to your PC.

i sadly no longer have my original Cart. ny roommate thought it was his copy and traded it in. so the only way to do that would be to get an older ds, an ARcart burrow someones TWEWY cart (or just use gamestops 7 day thing and buy a used copy)

You could try finding an existing converted save that was somewhat near yours and then tweaking it?

You could use an ez-flash 3 in 1 expansion pack, and the NDS Backup tool, it works like a charm. I used this method to import saves from Pokemon Platinum and pokesaved them. The reinjection of the save file to the original cart should be flawless with this.

im working with a DSi, i unfortunatly dont have a slot for that.

That's one of the homebrew tools I mentioned, and it only works on the DS/Lite.

If all you have is a DSi, you can't do anything.
