Under means 9.0 or 8.1 etc but it doesn't include 9.2
He's not english and meant his system version is stated as 9.2.
I can re-install MenuHax as needed with my recent downgrade to 9.2.0-20U from 10.3.0-XXU. What else do I need to do to install Reinand on this unit?
You have to format your sd card to create a partition for emunand which will be copied from your sysnand. You can use the gateway launcher. dat (https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutoria...r-firmware-to-cfw-4-5-without-gateway.378371/)
Afterwards, just copy the reinand files on the sdcard and boot it from hbl.

Yeah, English is not my native language but I am proficient with it.

By the way, thanks for the link. I guess this is just the right tutorial I needed.

Oh no I meant if there was a newer ReiNAND guide out there. Unless that guide is a heck of a lot easier, I'd rather stick with what I know. New games still worked just fine on ReiNAND.
A9LH with Luma is super easy to set up according to Plailect's guide. ReiNAND is no longer updated so will only give you problems (the least of which is hunting down the least out-of-date guide).

ReiNAND is discontinued and You can just think of Luma3DS as a newer ReiNAND.
Although A9LH is recommend, Luma3DS support other exploit such as menu hax too.
You don't need to go A9LH if you don't want to.

Hrmm I see. One question then. Since I have already set up ReiNAND in the past on the 3ds, is there anything I need to worry about on the 3ds itself? Like on the sysnand or whatever it is? The first line of that guide says "This guide is designed to help a user take a completely unmodified 3DS from full stock firmware".

Just want to make sure nothing is already modified and would screw anything up. Already formatted my micro SD card, just worried about the 3ds itself.

If you already have reiNAND set up, there's really not much to worry about. But I would suggest keeping an open mind to switching to another CFW since the dev publicly announced that they were no longer supporting reiNAND

sigh... can't i just find the creator of reinand, hold them hostage, and force them to release a new version? Feel like it may be easier than figuring this all out.. :/
You can still set up reiNAND the same way you did before. But if you weren't using menuHAX or A9LH, I really suggest you look into those entrypoints over any other entrypoints.

Hrmmm ok. Damnit. All of this happened because I constantly had to take out my micro sd card to put new CIAs on it. Didn't find out about CIAngel until like 2 days before it happened.

I know I mentioned this twice already, so it may sound annoying, but.. With NO micro sd card in the 3ds, when I installed the CFW last time, did I somehow alter the software on the 3ds itself? Not sure if that's even possible. Had someone guide me through it step by step so I'm unaware myself.

In other words, when there's no sd card in the 3ds, it's a completely normal 3ds right? Just without updated firmware? I'm just afraid of starting that guide with a 3ds that's already been altered by other CFW. even with the micro sd card formatted I feel like I can't explain my worry well..

P.S. Also tried using the back up I made by copying all the files on the micro sd card, but the microsd card doesn't say "GATEWAY" or whatever anymore as it's name. Just G: removable disk.

Followed that guide all the way to where it tells me to update my system... It even says "Yes, it's safe. Stop asking"...... I'm absolutely terrified I'm going to update it to a point where I can't go back and use firmware.... Isn't updating firmware to the newest version bad!?!? I remember there used to be something in my system settings that would tell me i'm on emuNAND instead of sysNAND. Right now i'm looking at the system settings and it says "Sys 9.2.0-20U"

.... Do I REALLY want to update this?... I'm worried it was supposed to boot to emunand instead, saying something like "Emu 9.2.0-20U" or something, but i somehow screwed it up and I'm about to lose all chance of doing this.

Try rebooting while holding select button. If it's load Luma3DS config menu, you're safe to update.
Luma3DS has a firm protection that will prevent anything to remove A9LH exploit from your console.
So, you can update without worry anything. If you're on N3DS, Make sure you're using hourgrass9 to create 9.2 NAND back up
