if anyone wants to help me find the others, please do. im mostly looking for Sasha, Petri, Ione atm but any of the new additions would be helpful for my folder.
EDIT: currently searching islands, will likely update later after i sleep
Yes, I’m joining in the hunt too. I have Sasha’s amiibo bin file, and can make a card of him so that I can move him into my island to get his file.

Once they're moved in, you can use NHSE to dump the villager + villager house with the dump options in both sections

Definitely update me on this! I had a few bin files but no clean NFC tags

Hey, I think I figured out an easier way to hunt for the 16 new villagers rather than via mystery islands. First, you replace all 10 of your villagers with this 'No villager' (empty plot) file. Then boot up the game, go past the Isabelle announcement and save. Press the home button and close the game, and then go to your Date & Settings and proceed by a day. Boot up the game again, and when you get to the title screen, press A to proceed past the title, but don't go through the Isabelle annoucement. Repeat this 9 times, and on the 9th time, go past the Isabelle announcement, and you should have 10 random villagers on your island. If there is approximately a 4% chance of getting any of the 16 new villagers amongst the 400+ villagers in the game, and you get 10 chances of it each time, it would amount to approximately a 34% chance that one of your 10 villagers would be one of the 16 new villagers each time, if I did the Maths right. If you don't get any of the new villagers, just restore your save from JKSV and try again.

Sorry, everyone! I made a slight correction in this post, because I realised that if you backed up after you made the first save and restored from there later, you will end up getting the same 10 villagers again. By the way, I found Faith on my second 10-villager attempt.

$60 for a game that's a decade old might be unheard of on PC but actually is not uncommon on consoles
