I did use sseq2midi a little in the past, which is pretty much the same thing, but for DS games, and I can say that you may be able to get the MIDIs to sound pretty good just by changing the instruments with a MIDI editor to something that sounds relatively similar, some songs will just be impossible to get to sound good without making a soundfont. I don't think it's possible yet, since it's a sequencer format it's a bit more complicated.
Might be possible to convert them to MIDI but they won't sound the same unless you also make a soundfont with the correct samples.
