Homebrew [Tutorial] How to Install OoT3DHax

I want to install oot3dhax with ninjahax 2.1 payload for a friend and I'm getting error -2 (0xfffffffe) (current firmware = target firmware = 10.1-27E old3DS). Can somebody help me?

I used the installer from the other thread, and got a download error.
Do you follow the instructions in the post I linked?

Edit:

Red Alert!!!
Amazon warehouse has OOT like new for ~$30 before tax and shipping at the moment with limited stock. Act fast if you 're desperate for one.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-list...r=8-1&keywords=ocarina+of+time&condition=used

It's $10 cheaper than when I picked up an used one few month ago for my nephew (which isalso the retail price of OOT). This is the cheapest price I personally ever see for full package OOT.

If you can stand waiting a little while until I finish this new tutorial, then I'd say to wait.
Otherwise, feel free to get this 2.1 version or grab the new installer from the newer thread.

I unfortunately have an O3DS XL with 10.1.27 and all of the following blocked: Browserhax, Tubehax, and Ironhax 1.1.

However, I have OOT3D and another O3DS XL with 9.9 and Ironhax 1.0 which is still functional. Is it possible to use the working hacked 3DS to install oot3Dhax, and then use the cartridge to update the hax on the 10.1.27 3DS, either by updating the Ironfall payload or installing themehax?

Here's what I tried myself: I used save_manager to write the save00 file to my cart, but I couldn't do it with payload.bin in the same folder. I tried using the most updated oothax installer made specifically for 10.1, but it gives me an FFFFFE error and can't download the payload. If any of this is possible, what are the proper steps? Thanks!

1. Go here and download the offline Oot3DHax installer.
2. Go here and download the "otherapp" payload for your 3DS version. In your case the version you need is 10.1.27 since you will need Oot3DHax to run on the 10.1.27 3DS. Also, download the starter kit.
3. Extract the Oot3DHax installer into the "3ds" folder on the SD card where all you other homebrew apps reside.
3. Rename the payload you downloaded to "payload.bin" and copy it to the Oot3DHax installer's folder on the SD card.
4. Extract the new IronHax installer located in the starter kit you downloaded into the "3ds" folder on the SD card.
4. Boot into the Homebrew Launcher using IronHax and run the offline Oot3DHax installer.
5. Check and make sure Oot3DHax is working.
6. Delete IronHax save.
7. Boot into Homebrew Launcher using Oot3DHax and run the IronHax installer.
8. Check and make sure IronHax is working.

Technically, you could update IronHax using IronHax but I'd advise against doing that in the case you mess up.

Edit:
Bolded what you need to download just for visual appeal.

I have a O3DS on 10.1.27 with Themehax, will i be able to install OoT3dhax with the 2.5 update?

Does this download work on the 10.1.27 update?
Yes you can use Themehax to launcher HBL then follow instruction to into OOTHAX (remember to clear save on OOT card)

Some reported OOTHax doesn't work well on 10.1,27.
