If you're having issues:
Get rid of your /3ds/ folder (rename it to something else if you don't want to lose it)
Get rid of your current boot.3dsx (or rename it if you really wanna keep it)
Fresh download of the homebrew starter pack, extract everything to your SD card. That way you are sure you won't be missing anything vital that may be required to make this work.
Then start the eShop icon with the crudely-drawn I on it in ms paint to download old version of Ironfall.
If you only pick out a few files from the starter pack that you -think- are what you need then chances are you're only loading the regular eShop.
When I did that, the HANS windows went by super fast and I was in the eShop, and it downloaded 1.2
Then when I tried with fresh starter pack with -everything-, it took a second or two more to load on the HANS scrolling text, and then it downloaded Ironfall 1.0 properly.
And i don't think you can redownload old IronHax on a 9.2 system :/ cause there's no way to spoof eShop and i don't think the eShop old version downloader does spoofing. Pitty, cause i just have a system with 9.2 but no ironfall (yes i know i can use HBL launcher cia in emunand, still it would be cool to launch hbl from start instead from emunand)
<=9.2 has *plenty* of ways to spoof firmware for eShop access, and I'm not talking about updating emunand to latest version.
You can install latest NVer to sysnand and then use HANS and it should normally let you access. Or you can download it from the eShop on emunand 10.3 (N3DS emunand 9.5 has to install latest NVer also), make it into a .cia with FunkyCIA, then install it to your sysnand.
the thing with IronFall is that once you have it, you have homebrew access forever. every time there is a new OS update, all you have to do is update the payloads beforehand and then update and wham, homebrew on latest fw. IronFall is the best entrypoint available atm imo
Nah, Cubic Ninja remains the best entry point.
Screw up your payload update (which apparently isn't that difficult to screw up considering how many people post that they screwed it up) and you're SOL pretty much.
oot3dhax is about as good as Ironhax also.
Cubic Ninja? You'll -never- be locked out no matter how many times you might screw up.
