So does emunand work correctly with saves of new games or will it cause problems?

It will function exactly like SysNAND. You can use your eShop downloads and legit game carts without issue.

The difference is Pokemon X/Y are card2 games, whereas Kirby isn't, iirc. This can be worked around, but if you're using one of the frontends to generate the .cia files, it may not support this.

But Animal Crossing is also card2 yet there don't seem to be problems with it afaik.

If I were to carry out this tutorial could I play a ROM of Pokemon Omega Ruby online? Does it have the possibility of getting banned? Is the .CIA version of games any safer online?

I'm aware that the flashcards let you, but bans are being reported and I want to know if this is a better alternative.

Lol, I'm tired of people stupid questions that have been answered before their first posts, but no pokemon OR doesn't work online on cfw, it doesn't work offline on cfw, it just doesn't work, neither does alpha sapphire or x/y, so far no one who was just using cia files has been banned.

Afaik, pokemon x/y are the only ones that don't work due to the fact that it is card 2, which is weird because animal crossing apparently works and that is card 2 as well. Makes me think there is something else involved in a pokemon save that we don't know about. I've read somewhere that the save files are verified on loading of the game which causes it to crash. There is a card 2 to card 1 save converter but that doesn't work due to the filesize of a pokemon x/y save.

Not really, unless you're doing some sort of system update or saving a game, then it might potentially ruin your system or corrupt the save, otherwise it should be fine, but if you can shutdown normally I recommend to do so.

I have one question regarding the save data while using MT emunand.

Say if I were to make a save back up using gateway's loader for smash bros on a 9.2 3DS, then on a 2nd 3DS, playing the same cart on 9.5 MT emunand.

I will lose the smash data on the emunand due to encryption mismatch but would it be possible to restore that save data I made earlier to be used back on the 9.2 3ds?

Edit: has anyone got Smash bros working on 9.5 MT emuNand ?, It starts the 3ds loading but just goes to a blackscreen. Also 9.5 seems to break friend list as well, don't update!

I have just downgraded my 3DS from 9.2 to 4.2 and created a 9.5 emunand, my friend list is working fine.

Miiverse works fine as well. The only issue I've had is launching flipnote studio 3D which crashes every time, but the rest of the content works fine.

why is it that when i load my pokemon OR retail cart on 9.5 MT emunand, it displays some japanese text (which I can't understand) and it just stucks there? I thought you can play any cart on the emunand?

MT haven't updated their launcher to be fully 9.5 compatible, so there is lots of bugs, one being messed up language settings
