Hacking Trouble with out of region gamecube games using CFG

I am using regular dios mios. Both PAL Windwaker and MGSTTS don't work on my NTSC wii. I tried forcing the video mode to NTSC, but I would get a black screen/wii remote shut off, with the Wii still on. Strangely, my PAL copy of NHL hitz works fine.

Any hints?


EDIT: Windwaker DOES work. If i wait 10-15 seconds after the black screen, it loads. Still, no luck with MGS.
