Hacking Trimming

What on earth is "Trimming" and how do you do it?

trimming is when you use a program to trim your rom down a bit.
you can save space on some games that trim a lot
it basically just gets rid of the data that isn't needed but this does not affect gameplay(sometimes download play)
also you should use the search engine instead of making a new thread this questions been asked a few times

and since my explanation isn't that good heres one from Sinkhead

The capacity of DS carts can ONLY be 8MB, 16MB, 32MB, 64MB or 128MB. If some developers make a game that is 54MB then it will be put on a 64MB cart and lots of 00000s or FFFFFFs will be added to the end of the file to make it 64MB. Trimming just removed this padding.

With a smart trimming application, it won't be affected at all. With a blind trimming app, it could break multiplayer and Download Play on some games. Use the ones suggested in the other threads like NDS Tokyo Trim.
