just change the text_length and make your text longer, what is the problem?

example:
your text: "ThisIsATest"

in hex this would be 1C000000540068006900730049007300410054006500730074000000
"1C000000" is the textlength, just increase this, to make your text longer...

next example: "ThisIsAnotherTest"
in hex: 2800000054006800690073004900730041006E006F00740068006500720054006500730074000000

just compare both and you will find your problem...
If you know nothing about hex editors, don't try to translate a game.

PS: to insert bytes in a hex editor press CTRL+V or Insert
i want to start working on this, but how do you calculate the length of the text in hex? Thnx in advance... i need a project to work on.

you have to find it yourself... are you using a patched version at all... a repacked version... or a clean rom unchanged. there are many things that could change the rom id

editing, use MadEdit UTF16LE

I could write a simple .NET Editor, but it's such an easy format,
in MadEdit you just need to copy&paste the text + fix text_length and it's translated.

How are you extracting them with wwpacker... it wont recognize the file structure for me.

i also found another set of things to be swapped...
Not sure what it does yet... repacking in a bit.

im repacking now... give me a minute or so...

im thinking it has to do with the contiue/load screen from the txt clues, but im not sure how to decompress the .z files so i cant access the actual text
 
anyone know where adnum_en.p2 and 0E_en.z is?

edit: adnum_en.p2 is located at ui/btl

0E_en.z adn 0E_ja.z are in \data\ev\ob\
