ROM Hack Translating tutorials

Otherthan babelfish or any other online translators is there a way forme to translate other games WITHOUT learning japanese? Plus how can I input the english writing into the game because is it some sort of program?

Dictionary. How to input? Hex editor.

There really isn't anything to do other than hand translate. That's how I roll, at least, but I speak Japanese fluently, so I only need to use kanji and kana charts. Games with full voice acting are easier, I need only remember the scene and the menus are in katakana usually.

EDIT: You could always do what the VN community does. Have someone hack out the game scripts, and someone translate them. Of course, it doesn't look like you're skilled in either.

just a quick sumup to see if I get it : you don't know anything about japanese and you don't know a thing about romhacking, yet you want to translate japanese games.
