Hi all, here again.
Third time with a a ds line question, I took an old Luma modded 2ds, and transferred all its files, without deleting the CFW, to a new 3ds.

Now I’m going to mod the new XL, but I wonder what I need to remove from the card to do so, it’s still stock but the Nintendo system transfer did bring over my fbi folder, luma files, and a few homebrew games.

I’m not opposed to deleting this all to restart, but just wanna know what files, are on a stock sd cart for a 3ds, with a few games from the eshop on it.

imo you should have modded your New 3DS on a clean slate.

1) so first you should have modded your New 3DS

2) then copy stuff like homebrew

3) then install the games

4) then use a save manager to transfer your save from 2DS to your New 3DS

Well that isn’t exactly in the books.

I don’t have any homebrew saves I care about honestly, I was only quick to do this before selling the 2ds.

So any thoughts on what folders to wipe? Part of the goal was keeping my built in game from the 2ds

Edit:
After rereading the entirety of the 3ds hacks guide again, am I correct in assuming the only folder to keep is Nintendo 3DS and delete all the others in root? Would this keep the system from bricking through setup?
