Hacking Transferred SD Card data but, cannot boot up.

Hi!

First things first. Sorry if this is in the wrong place and sorry if this is a common question.

So I just went through all the lovely steps on 3ds.hacks.guide and everything worked perfectly. However, I soon realised that I was using my 4 GB Micro SD and not my 32 GB. I formatted my SD card to 32 Kb clusters but, I seem to be unable to boot up using this SD card. I am not sure if I am being a complete idiot and missing a really obvious step or, what.

To clarify. If I had the original 4 GB SD in the system it boots up normally. I can access Luma, Homebrew, FBI and all that good stuff. But using the formatted 32 GB SD card with the transferred files it cannot boot up. Instead the power light comes off and then switches back off.

Any suggestions?

If the SD says it is Fat32 then just try copying the files again. Make sure boot.firm is on the card too or else you will keep getting stuck on boot

Thanks for the reply! This is my current situation. Not sure if I'm being dumb and something is obviously missing.

Try using your original SD to install luma to nand and then switch to your new SD to see if it is even being read. It might be a faulty one.

I have made some progress so far. It is being read and I have managed to boot up using the 32 GB SD however, there is none of my original data or CFW on the SD for some reason.

So what did you end up changing? If you added luma to nand it will boot just because of that. But since nothing is showing up my guess is the card is faulty. A good card would have just needed you to transfer everything to it

Try not naming the drive for starters, as it can mess some things up when it comes to directories. That could very well be it as I've had it happen once before.

Forgot to mention! I've sorted this now. There seems to be some sort of writing error with my desktop. So I tried using a laptop and I was able to copy with no issues!
