To Apply A SKN:
Copy to any folder on sd card like a Skins Folder
go to the file in the menu
press A
Profit!

To make A SKN:
Download sakura tools from handheld sources and replace icons with 24color bmp files

Dual boot.

Sakura for the majority of stuff.
Touchpod for nethackDS, jenesis, and any other homebrew I need to load that makes sakura go ack ack patooey.

Dual boot? Sakura comes with Tochpod, if you hold A on the boot and can switch the default firmware to use.

Cons: No file manager? (to delete files); my .dpg videos don't play (black screen & freeze on launch).

Touchpod: for deleting files & playing videos
Pros: PDA functionality from GUI (not bundled/separate download); some file manager functionality ('select' to delete); my .dpg videos play (moonshell).
Cons: Doesn't read correct file sizes; files sorted by date.

I don't think you CAN get the later versions of Sakura without getting the dual-boot
I say go with the dual-boot.

Use DRIVESORT to order the files alphabetically by their long name and it will work on touchpod too

Sakura. It's over 9000 times faster and easier to load a game for me to play, which is precisely why flashcarts were invented in the first place

Working without usb transflash reader atm. So no pc disk utilities for now. I don't know why the wrong file sizes were being displayed in touchpod, sakura and moonshell showed the correct file sizes.

On another note, Sakura's on the fly DLDI patching didn't work for me when I tried Multipleption: Game Melody Oratorio, but no problem using touchpod.
