I tried one yesterday (Whisky) and while I was able to open joycon toolkit, it wouldn’t read my joycon. I was able to connect the joycon to the Mac Mini though. Just looking for an actual solution to this that’s be proven to work.
you have to share your Bluetooth on the VM most VM can others need you «connect» the Bluetooth radio to the VM but you loose the radio on on the host

I’m new to the VM thing so forgive the ignorance of my questions. How would I connect the joycon to the VM? Could you point me in the right direction?

It’s one I found called Whisky. It’s free so I gave it shot as I don’t want to pay for something that may not work.
Sorry on Whisky, I don't know how to do it but hope some other temper will know, a quick search on google do not give results.

on VMWare Workstation 15 is so easy as:

That does look easy. From what I found on google, looks like VMWare is free??? If it’s not to hard to install then I’ll give this a look.

When adjusting dead-zones for your right joy con, is Stick Parameters 2 supposed to change or Stick Parameters? I've tried changing the dead-zone value but it doesn't make a difference on the switch itself with this program.

Left joycon connects to the program and can be edited, but right joycon says it has been disconnected as soon as I click anything.

This behavior is the same with two sets of official joycons (probably on the latest firmware. Near full charge).

The home button flashes blue periodically while connected, and while it technically stays connected to windows (11), while in the advanced add a bluetooth device menu, it will disconnect on its own there (but it still shows and acts like it's connected in the taskbar bluetooth dialog.

(This is on a Windows Surface with an Intel chip and built in Bluetooth)

vmware fusion is free for personal use, as of November. use that.

on VMWare Workstation 15
bruh... time to jump up to 17. Since broadcom is taking over, as with vmware fusion, vmware workstation pro is now free for personal use.

Would anyone happen to know the color values for the pokemon scarlet and violet joycons? I'll be doing a shell swap soon and would like them to match the originals as much as possible.

Update: never mind, found this posted here earlier, BIG help! Thanks everyone! https://switchbrew.org/wiki/Joy-Con#Colors

Can anyone help me???? I backed up my SPI as it said. I changed the color and wrote it to my switch. Now it is not registering as docked to the switch!! Like it connects but does not click in or show it is connected in handheld mode. I restored the backed up SPI and completely reset it and nothing is working :(

My pro controller's sync button doesn't work. Is there any other way I can connect it to the program?

EDIT: fixed my sync button with some electrical contact cleaner, I'm good now.
