Run screeninfo.3dsx to find out. If you do not have homebrew installed, use soundhax to load it. This will not cause any changes to your console, and will not void your warranty. You can delete the files from the SD Card after.

Download it and run out from the homebrew launcher

i'll try, but i am wondering now whether Homebrew launcher will run on my 3ds or not.

it seems it is not able to run , i use updated sysNAND with luma cfw, on latest fw.
11.3 and i got an error when i tried launching HBL, the error codes : 007a0000/0180000/d8e17406

i googled just now, i am supposed to use soundhax for the meantime.
oh well, time to google some more.

thanks man, i used that 3Dsident , and it turns out my upper n3ds screen is IPS yay ! XD
but bottom part is TN Nay Dx , but the top one matters more.

btw. is this only for N3DS'es? or can i also use this homebrew to check my og3ds?

Figured id post my 3ds that I have or had in the past

• *New* 3ds pokemon 20th aniversary - dual ips
• *new* 3ds black friday super mario white edition - dual tn
• *New* 3ds xl launch day black - top ips, bottom tn
• blue 2ds - dual tn
• silver 3ds XL year of luigi - dual tn
• black 3ds - dual tn
• black 3ds (different then above) - dual tn
• purple 3ds - dual tn (but the screens really look nice on this one, but too bad the person who had it before me really jacked them up )

If some of the other consoles that i've used make their way back to me i'll try to post the screens

I play the binding of isaac on my red device dual tn and have on my sons unicorn(dual ips) and i prefer to play it on my red one. Has anyone else has this preference?

A few I have:
3DS XL Silver Mario & Luigi Edition. Both TN.
2DS Older Electric Blue with black face. TN.

*new* 3DS Super Mario Land Edition. Both TN.
*new* 3DS XL Hyrule Edition. Both IPS.
*new* 3DS XL Black. Top IPS, Bottom TN.

I enjoy gaming on my *new* 3DS XL Black with its top IPS screen. Colors seem a bit washed out on my 3DS XL Mario & Luigi Edition. The Zelda system stays in its box as a collector's item. Will build a display one day.

My hyrule edition is both IPS. I bought 2 new black 3DS XL, both are dual TN, different stores, QW1238 and QW1242. Both being returned.
