Everytime i see your footage, it feels better and better. Are you optimistic that we might be able to expect this at the beginning of 26? 😎
Well... unless I hit a very unexpected wall, I should be done by then.
I didn't necessarily do everything in order, but instead focused on the technical difficulties. That's why I did Elmyra's level and the credits before level 3.
Sure, level 2 had some pretty tricky special effects to deal with, and I also want to take my time with particular parts (like when I found how to make the bottom part of the train show a different color).
But level 3 should be a bit more "conventional", and level 4 is halfway done. So... let's hope everything keeps going smooth!

Hey, honestly, take all the time you need.
Your life should never be short-changed. And if it takes longer, we'll be all the more excited and eagerly awaiting it ;) If I had some kind of plan for something like that, I'd definitely tackle it myself.
Unfortunately, I'm completely out of the loop when it comes to that sort of thing. I've already created the logo and cover for future reference. Maybe someone can use it.

Heeeey, not bad, thanks!

I'm gonna slowdown on #tinytoon DX updates for a while, not because I'm working less on it, but because I want to keep some surprises for when the patch is released. That being said, here's a glimpse of the second boss, Arnold, whose attack I have always fancied! #gameboycolor

I wonder how hard Arnold was to colorize.

Sometimes, you must compromise... Like when final battle with Montana Max shimmers so much, you have to reduce the colors on the chair to make things readable. Still like the result, just not what I had in mind. BUT, you're in for a treat I won't spoil with that scene! #tinytoons #gameboycolor 😀

Maybe you could make the chair spring the same color as his jacket. Just brown looks a little strange honestly.

I tried, but the red chair is the best combination : otherwise the head needs overlay, which results in 6 more sprites on the same line, which results in heavy flickering. Believe me I did all the combination, but contrary to what you would think, the chair (because it has less sprites on the same line) is the one that stays below the 10 sprites limit the most.

Bummer. It still doesn't look that bad, though.

Yeah, and honestly, even if some shimmering is unavoidable, it really was distracting when Montana was speaking to you. A little bit less afterward because sprites move, but still... This is amongst the few compromises I'll end up doing for the patch, but like I said, I have prepared a little something to make up for it!

Hey, how did it go at the festival?
Pretty good! Lots of kids were drawn to the game, despite not knowing of it, and some parents were reminded of their childhood with it! I also was paired with the guy who created the NGDEVKIT. It's a game development kit for neogeo, and some very nice games were made with it (look for vengeance hunters)
