Haven't they already stopped developing sx os?

LOL, it seems like they have. They claimed they were working on a solution for patched switches, but they're probably just waiting for an open source solution that they can steal.

If Nintendo releases a firmware update SX OS will be updated to support it. Aside from that development on it seems to have stalled.

SX OS likely stopped being profitable enough to warrant more than just the basic compatibility updates it often steals from Atmosphere. Eventually, it will probably stop those too.
 
Blawar brands his tools as "SX something" and gets money from TX, which he might cease getting if open-sourcing, even if using GPL as TX is known for violating it.

It's likely blawar's stuff also violate various copyright licenses, but to be fair, TX is practically endorsed and advertised by GBAtemp staffers and they do much worse stuff, so complaining here is useless.
