Noob here... Why wouldnt nintendo be able to identify someone installing cias compared to someone using tickets? AFAIK every time you log on to eshop you lose games/dlc installed thats not a legit cia so wouldnt they be able to tell? Also wouldnt tickets be better then because the risk would be the same but since youre downloading directly from their servers you wont have to worry so much over whats being installed?

I don't seem to lose any of my games or DLC when logging into eshop...

I think it´s mostly interesting for people who got their cias from crappy sources and installed hacky modified crap.
I downloaded my roms as .3ds scene dumps and converted them to cia with simple cia converter.
I think that should be clean (with all manuals).

But I will use CIAngel to get real VC titles, these are difficult to find as cia, you normaly always get injects.

Actually, from the point of view of accuracy, an eshop dump (with the correct title key) is still superior.
But since retail games and their more or less official conversions to cia are not updated by redownloading, it's tolerable (especially given that once you have the .3ds, conversion is faster than redownloading!)

So true... and usually with a shitty png banner :(
