Hacking This HDD good for backup loaders?

# USB Powered - no power supply needed

I would stay away from usb powered drives, they are known to have problems. I would go with a WD elements (not Passport Essential, it comes with smartware that's a pain to remove.)

Western Digital Elements SE 500GB looks good or if you want to spend £5 more Western Digital Elements 1TB USB 2.0

WD has the best deals in the us (on amazon, they have a lot of deals), but they seem more expensive in the uk so you might want to shop around.

The trade forum here might have some good deals too from people upgrading to a larger drive, and you'll know if it works well or not with usb loaders.
