DONE WITH THE QUESTIONS!
Thanks a lot to everyone who replied! I decided I'll buy one.
So again, thanks a lot for taking your time and answering/giving me links/making me think, I appreciate it. :)

Hello, as the title says, I'm thinking of buying a Sky3DS for various reasons and would like some advice and know about the Do's and Don'ts. I read earlier today about the guy who said not to buy one but most of his reasons seemed pointless to me of I don't really care about it, anyways. Here's a list of things for you to consider before saying anything:

1) I know it just plays 3DS ROMS, no Homebrew/eShop/whatever.
2) I know I can use Cubin Ninja for region4.
3) I update my 3DS everytime an update comes out (if I buy the Ske3Ds I'll reconsider this).
4) I don't plan playing online, too lazy to do the header thing.
5) My 3DS has the latest FW which shouldn't be a problem for the Sky3DS as far as I've read.

So yeah... Opinions? Experiences? Advice?
Thanks in advice :)

Last edited by jowan,
Its the best choice with the latest firmware (unless youre rich, but i think its no the case). Also ninjhax works with cubic ninja rom.
How much does it cost there?
Actually one of the reasons I'm buying is cuz I moved to Germany nad I have a US console and don't wanna buy a EU one, so yeah the same for you I guess, around 71 euros.

lool i live in spain and it cost me 92,50 euros, without micrioSD

Why are you so positive that you'll never be interested in an eShop game or DLC?

You can't do that on the latest FW AFAIK.

Huh?

Then you have no option but to get a Sky.

Holy crap... Mira en la web de Sky, los resellers.. So what would you say, is it worth it?

El único reseller en madrid lo vendía a ese precio. No me fío de los de segunda mano en este tipo de cosas.

Well let´s continue in english for most people to understand the conversation haha. Yeah given that its the only choice, again for non rich people, it´s worth it. The blue button its a problem we sky3ds users have to deal

Sorry, meant Sky3DS. Well region4 is not that much of a problem either

you can actually play homebrews with sky3ds/cubic ninja rom
Seguro? o.O

Haha yeah.. Why is that a problem? I read there's no ROM limit now.

I see. Anyway, I edited my post to add another question before you replied (but not before you saw my post).

I wouldn't be surprised if Ninjhax 2.0 was blocked on the next update, though.
Just saw.. Well... yeah that's one good point, but I guess I'll have to sacrifice that, don't really like the idea of messing up with the NAND and the GW...besides, buying a couple of DLCs/eShop once in a while is not that bad :) .

You're losing on the fun part.
Get a second 3DS for experiments and mess around with its NAND someday if you have some spare money.
Well, OT enough. With the latest FW Sky3DS is the only option and it works.

Well, just keep in mind that you will only be able to access the eShop by keeping your 3DS updated to the latest FW.

And btw, you don't need to mess with your NAND to use GW or a CFW.

According to Yellows8, 9.5+ FW on the 3DS is pretty locked down, so don't expect another kernel exploit to appear out of nowhere, at least not for awhile. I have a Sky3DS and I would recommend it, especially now that you can run Ninjhax 2.0 with it.

I removed the external button because I accidentally hit it the button in the middle of the game. I use the stylus to push the surface mount button now. Works so much better.
