You turn the Wii on and you hold the reset button down. That brings up the preloader menu, which lets you then load the Homebrew Channel. Then you just run Wad Manager and uninstall the wad that banner bricked you.

starfall & preloader are both made by crediar bottom line starfall theres no updates preloader has updates & to fix fakebug run iosdowngrader & reinstall preloader as long as you have cios rev 7 or above it will work even if you updated through nintendo

I just tried to install preloader .29 through HBC and i got this message "Failed to get boot, IOS(36) has fake sign bug fixed"

I am on 4.0 and i have a NTSC-U Wii

anyone know what to do?

You're IOSes are trucha-patched, so you need to downgrade first. Just follow the steps afif95 posted on the first page.

I have the Firmware-Downgrader_v1.11 but i dont know which IOS Downgrader to use. Custom IOS Downgrader 1.2, or just IOS Downgrader 1.0?

You have an old version of IOS36.
I installed the newer version and Preloader 0.29 was working.

Did you just install a newer IOS36 over the old one or did you downgrade first?
Where did you get the new IOS36?

I am already on Cios rev10

cIOS is not IOS36, it's just based on it. cIOS installs as IOS249 in most cases.
I would try just running IOS Downgrader to downgrade your IOSes to enable fakesigning again. I don't think you need to downgrade the whole firmware then upgrade to 4.0 again as long as you just downgrade the IOSes, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

I don't have IOS60 installed. Do I have to install this before preloader 0.29?
