The CRT isn't a new acquisition, my mum actually gave me it when she moved house a long time ago, we were using it in our bedroom here until we got a modern TV. Just hooked it up again and it's working great with the Famicom, in part thanks to a PAL<->NTSC colour system converter I got from AliExpress, they're surprisingly cheap and decent now, would have been a game changer (literally?) back in the '90s. Only thing with the TV at the moment is I can't change the volume as I don't have the remote, might have to stretch to a whole extra 7 or 8 quid for a replacement.

That's a beauty of a Fami, @hippy dave .

Been a very bountiful week for recycling the past couple weeks at work.

Someone dropped off a 2012 Mac Pro, which was pretty dirty but otherwise just worked. Cleaned it up, threw 64GB of RAM in it and a couple GPUs I had sitting around (a GTX 1050 ti, and an R9 270), installed rEFInd and setup Proxmox. Currently have a Windows and Linux VM setup for some potential server usage at work. I have a couple old CPUs from my old server that should work in it, so at some point I plan on slapping those in to give it a bit more power.

Someone also dropped off a few old flip phones, an old blackberry, and a couple of Galaxy S5s as well. Tossed the flip phones, but unlocked the bootloaders for the S5s and threw LineageOS 20 on them to use for...something. Maybe keep them around for dedicated music players or something along those lines

And then today someone came and dropped off a couple tubs full of "old" tablets, laptops, mini PCs, and phones for recycling at work today. Soooo from the massive pile I got:
3x Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e's
1x Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE in perfect working condition
2x Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE's with broken screens
1x Samsung Galaxy S20 FE

A couple of Lenovo Thinkpads, one with some 10th gen i5 in it, one with an 8th gen i5 in it, nothing too fancy.

Some Dell Latitude with an 11th gen i5 in it, and a Dell Optiplex mini PC with a 10th gen i5 in it.

They pulled the drives and RAM from the PCs, so had to pull some out of my stash at work. Haven't played much with the PCs so don't know exact specs on anything yet, but got all the tablets all setup to confirm no MDM locks and they were all wiped so that's good.

A pretty decent haul for "free"

It's very pretty.
It looks way better with paneling and all the tiny tiny decals applied but that ain't happening.
Panel lining Gunpla is easy, but I get the decals, especially the sticker kind. Those 95% of the time look like crap. I usually only apply decals if they are water or dry transfers, and that's if I really feel like it, and most of the time, I don't.

Bought on Steam: Water Park Simulator, Creepy Shift House for Sale, and Creepy Shift Roadside Diner. On GOG, I bought RoboCop: Rogue City - Alex Murphy Edition.

Today was the biggest pet/reptile expo in Canada, and I usually go to get the food and supplies I need for my snakes, geckos, and frogs, because even with the ticket to the expo and the train ticket, it's cheaper for me to go and buy my stuff there. I wasn't looking to pick up anything (new reptiles or amphibians), but I saw this girl and had to have her.

She is a Palmetto morph Corn Snake. I don't recommend buying new pets without having the setup ready for them, but I currently have a 7-year-old adult male corn snake (not planning on breeding them together) so I already know their care and I have an extra tank and all the supplies to set it up, and she will be going into a quarantine setup for a month before I put her in my room with my other reptiles so that will let everything set up.
