There will be a black 3DS

Although it was not one of the four colors on display at E3 (source), it seems that there will indeed be a black 3DS, although we have no idea whether or not it will be available for launch.


Many of us have been complaining about the odd colors and dodgy-looking design, but in all honesty that black one doesn't look so bad, does it? For some reason, a lot of people didn't know about the black one, but it turns out it was actually well visible in the 3DS presentation video (the funny one with Iwata, Reggie and Miyamoto). It seems like a logical option for gamers as there's already been black iterations of the DS Lite and DSi.

However, Orange is the one for me (if it's even released that is).

The colors are awesome. At first I didn't like the two different colors, but not I love it.

Right now I want the orange one, but I feel like I would get sick of it. Any of them are fine.

I like the black. The colored ones are nice, but I don't like devices that stand out and say "Hey look at me!" The black is subtle and doesn't look childish.

I'd be a little disappointed if they didn't release the Orange 3DS, could care less for the Purple 3DS, Blue and Red with Black 3DS are okay and if I have no other option I'd get the straight Black 3DS.

Personally, I like the burnt orange colour. Maybe a personal preference, but it's one of my favorate colours, and I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I though the blue one was very nice.
Black is just.... plain (comparing to the other colors).

I like the black one most along with the green one that was on display at E3. The red on is also not too bad. I'd be interested to see what a white/gray 3DS looks like though.

Errr why is this news, I saw those in the videos that day.

Also black Nintendo handhelds are rather plain I won't buy it. The colors they had there weren't ugly, this is nonsense lol. I'd buy the blue one it is really pretty. If they don't come out with anything good hwen they launch it then I will just have to wait several months because they always eventually come out with the better colors that they stupidly miss when they launch. If they launch this in blue then i won't need to wait. I'm not going to buy a fugly all black console and then buy a blue one 3 months later.
