Well dumping propriety stuff (DLC in this case) is shady as fuck and easily compared to sharing other copyrighted media. Wouldn't recommend it as it can possibly be linked to you. We've already had a case back in the years where a person got into a shit ton of trouble with Nintendo due to sharing copyrighted stuff..

Thanks found it. Great news at least we now know that themes can be dumped in .cia format. I wounder how it was done?

I posted the how-to on page 1, it's not difficult. And yeah, I could see it maybe being a grey area if it was a theme that was free and already available to everyone, but with paid content, probably best not to go publicly talking about posting it up.

I don't think the mods care about people pirating - some of the most active threads in this section are basically piracy tutorials ;P But uploading publicly for other people is probably a bad idea, like Qtis said, I don't think anyone wants to relive kongznuts' experience

I dont get you I have not uploaded anything? or sorry you mean uploading themes via .cia format to others that you have done on here?

Then you've got nothing to worry about, that's what I'm saying. Anyway back on topic, does anyone know yet if themes have anything other than the usual bytes in icon.bin for region locking? Curious why fixing that doesn't seem to work, when it has for everything(?) else.

Surely though he never paid 1.5mill in the end! What did he do take prison instead or was he still responsible for it.

Rather than bother adapting the themes, it would be better to simply reverse engineer their structure and come up with installable .cia files where the user can compile their own themes with whatever pictures and music they like.
