Well, can't say it lacks resemblance, is it? Still, maybe looking for a template over the internet or a big picture of the Mr. Mew will do better. See, I'm not trying to let you down, yours is very well made, as I can't make one myself. But, somehow it lacks something that I can't say. Maybe.... it's tail is too long? Or maybe because it's 3D? Not the usual Anime-2D I saw? Can't say....

kraykirk, the fabric that I used was black stretchy velvetine (for the body and head) and very very light pink cotton fabric for the accents.

Very nice, I think I could sew something up like that, but I don't have a sewing machine. =/ really sucks. Anyways, yeah the first picture looks as if it had 3 legs, but the other two are pretty nice. No real recommendations, resembles the real thing. I might've made the arms at the end a bit fatter and perhaps sew a pouch-like thing inside of the arms and legs, and put some kind of weight in there, not something super heavy... but like heavier than cotton. . .
