We've been talking about UnlockSwitch for a while in this thread, as well as other MIG Switch lookalikes.

I know that @impeeza would be like: "Did you read the previous 46 pages worth of posts?" :P

It kinda is, it's just that @linuxares kinda misspelled it. :P
I typed it on my phone god dang it! xD

If only we had access to change our own thread titles

Seems kinda silly to limit tbh even on se7ensins users could. Than again I guess there was a bigger need with the constant status changing of the various modded game lobbies
I don't know why its locked. I know a lot of forums editing titles are locked, possible anti-spam feature maybe?

If you wish, you could make a suggestion here for it: https://gbatemp.net/forums/site-discussions-suggestions.3/

Else it's just to self-report the thread and ask for a moderator to rename it to what you wish for :)

Their tweet was weird. I’ll be skeptical until I see something in person. If you developed something that low cost, why wouldn’t you just put it into counterfeit cartridges, load one game each, and sell them as official games. I’m surprised we haven’t seen knock off cartridges with the MiG hardware underneath even.

I'm all for giving them clout but they need to prove themselves imho. Is it a clone? Is it a proper product etc. I don't doubt them but I hope they give more news soon

To be honest with you, I don't believe flashcarts for the Switch are ever successful. But at least some people do.

I imagine they're only usefull for people who only want to carry their legit games around on one cart. Anyone interested in 'non-personal backups' would probably install a cfw or mod chip.

Asking questions is trolling now lmao? But they’re also mad they don’t get attention? Sounds like a company confident in delivering what they’re promising 😏
If anything they’ve been trolling me…feel free too call me big headed or whatever but I feel like I’ve shown off more original work in this thread than they have so far. Between my shells, and the GUI for auto dumping and compressing large libraries

Yeah what a bunch of clowns. I just don't understand why not just clone the mig with a functional button an dump it on aliexpress for cheap. Are the chinese pirates really that afraid of Nintendo?

It's not for want of trying. There are already a couple of Chinese clones on the market, namely Mig X and Mig DIY. The latter has a button IIRC. However, they seem to only be distributed locally (IE in China).

They aren't afraid of ninty, as evidenced by the many listings of the original MIG on aliexpress before recent events. But they have to content with tencent, ninty's local partner in China. Ninty can't directly intervene in China but it can do so through tencent. That's probably why the aforementioned listings suddenly up and disappeared, with new ones being constantly scrubbed as well.

Oh look they ignored me again surprised surprise. They must not really want a back link.

Also another vauge tweet…are they every going to actually show something

Yeah, I think seeing them ignore you has moved them closer to the "Probable Scam" column for me. A simple google search of your username will show your credibility here, reddit and YouTube, and I'm starting to think that's why they aren't engaging with you or sending a sample.

Also, new tweet from them. Dont recognise any names on the list.

Wait I appear on YouTube ? Lmao Google isn’t showing that for me but I’m curious now

I’ve even had some other members from the scene vouch for me but oh well. I still plan on buying a unit and covering it in the main thread if it does end up being real

Pretty sure I've seen you in replies as I recognised your name from Reddit. Maybe another user: First Google result for me.

Have they even tried to reach out to youtubers that talk about these kind of things? Not that I think most dare after Nintendo killed at least one channel.

Are you talking about Nick Moses? He live streamed the initial sample which turned out to be just a "proof of concept"/rebranded MiG. Or Alien Retro Gaming, that channel disappeared, but he's been back for a couple months, starting with an explanation video that I'm watching now.

Edit: To summarise the video, he's back, Retro dropped from channel name, but won't be covering any Nintendo "fun" stuff.
